When God Closes a Door, He Opens Up the Roof.

Two years ago, I was in the Philippines doing my ministry in my church group SOUL Ministry. I do enjoy being with them, cultivating the soil of the youth's hearts to prepare for God's Word so that it may reach them and they may be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ever since I was a kid, people, I guess, expect me to be like my parents and relatives; they expect me to be in crusades, conventions, christian concerts, etc. for God's Glory. I didn't expect much of it.

SOUL Ministry has been a part of me that can't be erased. It molded and trained me to be who I am now. People sometimes ask me about my worship training they also think that it's genetic because my relatives were also heated up in their early days. But I guess my answer is too simple for them to understand. I also had my times when I find myself looking for the real reason why I worship the Lord. People think that it's easy for me since my family is a Christian and I live an easy life. But when the time came when I felt like being a Christian has become a routine, I begin to doubt myself. After search for so long while struggling to do my best in leading the congregation to worship, one song hit me so hard it makes me cry every time i listen to it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVA-o80qkAo)

SOUL Ministry is a group that I didn't expect to leave all my life. But when my parents decided to go to America and bring me with them, i sure did cry alot. After leaving SOUL, I simply thought that all the happenings in that group won't be like my new praise and worship team here. I am so ashamed of how I underestimate my teammates here thinking that they can't like my team before (which may make you think that I'm such a selfish person).

As time pass by, I started to understand little by little how God wants you to learn new things in different places. Though I am experiencing it alone and not with my original team, I have been attached to my new Worship Team members and I don't want to be apart from them as well. Seeing how different we are individually, we are all the same when we stand at that stage and sing praises to our only King every Sunday in church.

This past week has been a great week for all of us. It's such an honor to lead a congregation better than us, at the same time, outside our comfort zone (our church). The Lord taught us many things that week. We learn how to stick together no matter how hard things may go and be flexible and creative in solving those problems. He taught us the real meaning of worship; "It's not about the instrument that you play or how you played it, it's about how your heart sang it to me."

In that convocation, I saw other youth encountering difficulties that I have never experienced. I thank the Lord for making me who I am and making me see what others are going through so that I may understand them and I can approach them and help them draw closer to Jesus. Their spiritual hardships inspire me to do better in what I do because I know that the Lord can use me to help youths like them.

When I was in high school, I once sang a song entitled, "When God Closes the Door, He Opens a Window". For me, He didn't just open the window, but instead teared the roof down to fill me up with blessings. I hope that you will soon be inspired by the Lord to spread out His love to those who needs it. Let's all believe that all that hardships that we had is just a preparation for a great experience that he prepared for us. Let us be A Hope for the World (Romans 15:13) using our own hardships as a testimony for God's Greatness.

God Bless You !

Dear Fan Page

Knowing that you are not alone in this world is such a wonderful feeling.

I recently became an administrator of a FACEBOOK FAN PAGE :
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Music-for-the-Soul/131235020226536
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jesus-is-my-First-Love/127635543922681

It is fun seeing people "liking" the page because they agree with it. It also shows how religion can be spread out all over the world. It is nice to take part in social discussions simply because you have that deep relationship within you that bonds everyone together.

Though we can still be interested in some other stuff, I believe that joining groups like this makes our big world smaller. As we get to know people who shares the same relationship as you have with Christ and coming together, our bond becomes stronger.

Sooner or later, we will be seeing each other. We must not be ashamed of this belief and be willing to share it to others. I believe that gathering all Christian Believers should not be the only motive of a fan page, but to also help others who are lost to find their way again to the light.

I hope this short message of mine would help you today as you go on with every aspect of your life. Live like Christ would and share your light to others, that is what our goal is, because time is running out.

LET'S START NOW !

Technology Freak

New to My Gadget Family

A month ago, I suddenly broke my phone. Though I am not that entertained in texting and stuffs, a handphone is also useful to me. I broke my old phone and it's like I lost one of my arms. I can't call anyone if there's an emergency and if I wanted to ask something. I brought up this problem to my parents and TADA  , they bought me a new phone last night. It's a SAMSUNG Impression.

You may think of me as a really weird person here writing about her new phone. The thing is, it's my first time having such a cool phone (in my opinion that is) and I just wanna share it with you all.

Too Much Gadgets

Some close friends of mine knew me for being a gadget person. I have too many technologies with me ( I'm not bragging). Though they are not "high-end" stuffs, they are pretty useful in fulfilling my technology desires.

Early this year, I bought my very first Apple gadget. I bought an iPod Touch and it is very useful to me. Especially when I'm bored and have nothing to do, music is really just what I need.

Another gadget that I bought this year is an Apple Macbook Pro and that is what I've been using ever since. I truly worked hard on it, especially because it is not a cheap gadget and I can't take it lightly.

It has always been my passion to collect these kinds of things though I'm really not good in technology studies like computer science, information technology, etc.

I know that you may think that collecting these stuffs can be called "idolatry" or something, but i believe that this collecting thing is just my hobby and not my life. I can definitely life without it but it will be more fun with it. That is why I shared these things with you.

I Survived My Finals !

REVIEWING IS REALLY NOT MY THING

In the past week, I was reviewing for my final exams. It was a terrible headache, especially because I haven't reviewed seriously for a very long time. I'm not used to these kind of things. In my high school days, I am used to the spoon-feeding kind of treatment. My school's curriculum is quite different from other schools. It is home-school based at the same time school based.

Being in this certain type of curriculum gives you advantages, as well as disadvantages. We have advantages like accelerated lessons and advanced teachings, but one of our disadvantages are "sociality". It's because our room is not an ordinary place. We are placed in cubicles and we do our "book work"(PACE as we call it, picture on the left) there.

But apart from all that, ACE curriculum is also a nice style in self study training. But the thing is, I am now a college student and a conventional style of learning is what I am very not used to. All those reading and writing reviews and stuff is definitely way out of my league. But I somehow got through it, though not that smooth.

I tried to review for the whole day, but my concentration just can't help it and goes to another place. And besides, all these subjects really crack my brain up. (picture on the right, my actual reviewers)

MY GOAL FOR THE NEXT SEMESTER

I will definitely be a better student in this Fall Semester. I will try hard not to do my favorite hobbies during weekdays and do my best in studying. Yuusshh ! It's the real deal.

*chuckles*

I guess seeing this picture (on the left) made you realize what my favorite hobby is. Correct ! I am an anime freak and I'm proud of it. Though I'm not proud of the fact that these animes drives my attention away from my studies, I definitely need help in concentrating. If you have any suggestions on how, tell me huh..

SUMMER IS IN THE GRASP OF MY HANDS

This is my 2nd summer here in LA and I am most excited.
  • No School
  • No Sleeping Curfew (since you don't need to wake up early)
  • No Books to Read
  • More Animes to Watch
  • More Things to Do
  • Fun Fun Fun !
And those are my list of reasons why summer is so exciting.

I hope you can catch up with me this summer. I'll keep you updated with all my summer activities and stuff. Until next time, Byebye !
